food question number 2

does literally *anyone* like american cheese over other choices?

re: food question number 2

@Felthry It's a phenomenal melting cheese. I love it for grilled cheese, and I'll happily choose it for a burger over something fancier like a blue cheese.

re: food question number 2

@LexYeen See we tend to go for cheddar for both of those uses! Or provolone, provolone is underrated

re: food question number 2

@Felthry If I'm going for a cheddar cheese, I'm going as sharp as I can, and those don't melt near as well as the milder varieties. Plus, the way american cheese melts makes it a great base for cheese blends involving less-meltable cheeses.

re: food question number 2

@LexYeen Yeah that's fair! we also go super sharp for cheddar most of the time too

Our favorite sandwich right now is a bit of pepperoni, a bit of salami, a generous amount of pastrami (the kind that's like, peppered roast beef, not the globs of fat you get from some restaurants when you ask for pastrami), the sharpest cheddar we can find, and asiago

it's real good

@Felthry Oh, that sounds good.

@LexYeen Seriously what is it that makes all the Italian lunchmeats so good
