Random hue poll!

Here's how voting works: if you imagine a color wheel like commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fil balanced on a pin at the center, each vote is a weight at that point of the circumference and the final hue is whatever direction the disk tips over in.

Figure this will (a) go along with the majority but (b) not favor any specific result!

Color poll complete!

Net center of gravity from 78 votes is in direction of:

26 cyan - 12 red = 14 cyan
29 purple - 11 yellow-green = 18 purple

...and the resultant hue is 218° - a classic blue!

Thanks for participating, y'all! We enjoyed it.

Gonna just post the next random hue poll now, because we're excited about it: this one adds a saturation component!

As before, the final hue lands at the center of gravity of all the color votes on the color wheel ... but now you can also vote "desaturate"! The final saturation level will be 100% minus the percentage of votes for desaturation.

Have fun with this!

Hue-desaturation poll done!

This is a neat one - it really makes us think of pottery...

Y'know what? Let's invert the last one!

Hue-/saturation/ poll: hue is determined by the center of gravity of the hue votes, saturation is determined by the saturation votes. Let's see where this ends up!

@packbat Kinda curious what would have happened if literally everyone had voted for saturate.... 100% saturation with no hue!

@Felthry I feel like at that point we'd be stuck, like, recreating the hue wheel itself? We were pretty sure it wouldn't happen, though.
