not sure what to tag this as, people being anti-science about new-agey stuff
we just saw a comment on a video about piezoelectricity where someone was hypothesizing about where the whole healing-crystal belief may have originated, and a few other people replying to it
one of the replies was someone following a pattern we've seen in a lot of proponents of this kind of stuff? where they start by demeaning the people they're talking to (calling them "human lemmings" in this case), use lots of ellipses in their text, and repeatedly express their condescending pity for people being "brainwashed" by science (here, every other sentence had "[sentence]... so sad..... [more sentence]")
i have to wonder what people are trying to accomplish with that kind of stuff. do they think that's going to convince people that they're right? or do they just want to feel like they're somehow superior??
I'm not really going anywhere with this we've just seen that same pattern a number of times and i'm curious where it comes from
