playing ys 8 has really got us to understand what people mean when they complain about games having unstable framerates
most games that we've played seem to manage it well if they're on console (we barely noticed the one in hyrule warriors that people said was super noticeable) and/or our computer is powerful enough to keep a steady framerate most of the time on pc
but this one... it's a good game but the framerate problems are very noticeable

we're playing on the switch by the way, other releases might have this problem more under control
i think the most noticeable thing though is that... instead of having different models for things that are far away to save on resources they just... have different *framerates* for things that are far away
enemies that are more than a few feet away from the camera (it really is super close) will be animated more choppily, significantly so in many cases
