@octopus i'm not sure my vote for the third one really counts because the phrase would just be "the base of the natural logarithm" which is literally just the definition of it

@Felthry Our first thought was that the derivative of e^x is equal to e^x - it's very calculus but it's also where our head immediately goes with regard to it.

@packbat yeah that's a good definition of it (though there are two solutions to that, e = 2.718... and e = 0)
