burnout
@Felthry @NumberOneBug can we just pop in with some very small things you may already be doing:
- ensure you're not doing anything you don't need to. Figure out the bare minimum of housekeeping and do that.
- figure out whether it's best to do a little every day or one big thing weekly (eg, clean once a week, or spread the tasks out? Cook one big (easy) meal once or twice a week rather than a smaller one every day?)
- (Also, if/when you have the capacity to chat with your supervisor, might help to take the option to say "here is what's going on, here are the options I'm looking at taking (accommodation, lower hours, solid time off*), what do you think would suit best?"
That way they get a chance to give input / negotiate and pick an option that works okay for them. Might also be worth like "i do wanna stay working here and if you can support me in this, then i can help you for a lot longer")
*for us, we were pretty good a month after our contract ran out. Two weeks to crash, two weeks to pick up the pieces. Ymmv, but figured we'd put that there as a guide.
@NumberOneBug@yiff.life i don't have the energy to elaborate on the whole situation right now, i was trying to but words aren't coming
