i want to sit with this idea that "two voices cannot be heard simultaneously", because duet writing and choral singing would seem to say that yes, actually, they can be, but i still feel like there are important things there to learn #DafYomi #Məgilah21

@glitternoodle Are you sure it doesn't mean that you can't understand two people speaking at once? because that's definitely true for us at least
-F

@Felthry it might, but it's a little unclear! the most obvious context seems to imply two people effectively chanting the same recitative at the same time, in unison? but it's confusing and i might be parsing it wrong

@glitternoodle i was going to say that might be hard to understand to us too but then i remembered guillo (youtu.be/5aQHOFAeKiM?t=22) is pretty easy to understand so maybe if it's just well synchronized it works out? I dunno
-F

@glitternoodle now i'm just thinking how extremely *difficult* doing Guillo's voice must have been for the voice actors, having to match each other's speech patterns and cadence near-perfectly

@glitternoodle I was complaining just yesterday about how bad voice acting in games can be (a game we're playing has several characters pronounce the same place name in different ways, within a single conversation, which we're told is because video game voice actors frequently don't get like any access to the script or interaction with other voice actors???) and then we're reminded of this and how they must have gone to extraordinary effort for that one character's voice
-F

@Felthry it seems like it was worth it from what i can hear in that video!
