Interesting how here in Denmark people tend to assume that my second last name is my actual last name, and the first one is my middle name

@socks At least in our experience, having multiple last names is a very unusual thing--the closest we know of would be people combining their last names when they get married instead of picking one (like instead of being either Smith or Jones, combine them to Smith-Jones)

@Felthry In Spain everyone has two last names, the first is your father's first last name and the second is your mother's first last name

@Felthry I guess it acts as a sort of "family name", since it's pretty much unheard of for women to change their last name when they marry
