I have yet to beat the fifth noble because boy howdy is that an evasion skill and hand endurance check.
I have nine stars, and I'm currently beating up alphas for experience, candy, and grit.
and this entire time, I've had my starter with me.
my starter is fully trained in every stat, fully evolved, and level 85 as of this post. she's bashful, but I gave her a modest mint a while back, and right now she's using mystical fire, infernal parade, hyper beam, and calm mind.
her name is Blowtorch, because she melts things.

@LexYeen ahh, avalugg is a pretty difficult one
are you aware of the "continue fight" option? if you lose to a noble, you can just pick right back up without fully refilling the noble's frenzy meter and keep going
