anyone who knows Polish: how exactly do you pronounce paczki

we just know them as those delicious things you get around mardi gras time that aren't king cakes, but no idea how to pronounce them
-F

@Felthry I know someone I can tag in on this!

Hey, @oddtail, Polish language question for you. 💙

@Felthry It'll be somewhere between 'punch-key' or 'paunch-key'. If you can get the first vowel in that neighborhood you're doing well.

Also maybe 'best thing ever' but that might be a mid-Michigan regionalism.

@Austin_Dern yeah, that's about what I thought, though i'm curious what any actual polish people would say if that's a good pronunciation or completely butchering it
-F

@Felthry Yeah, I can't speak for someone who knows actual Polish. This is just what I know from an attenuated Polish-American heritage (and the New Jersey strain of that).

@Austin_Dern @Felthry

Pretty much, yeah... some put more of an s- intro for the second syllable, but that's it.

@Felthry alls we know is they're tasty and extremely popular around mid-michigan. big polish community here

@ikrupp we're a little more used to king cakes but we found paczki while living in a college town and they're delicious

i do kinda want a king cake though
