i mean i guess it might be possible if it contained a dangerous amount of radioactive material but uh

if *that* was how they claimed to work, they'd have every government agency in the world after them

we've seen one opened up, it just contains a 1 MΩ resistor with one end just not connected to anything

the real ones also contain a 1 MΩ resistor, between the metal panel that makes contact to your wrist and the snap contact where you attach the cord, these just don't have the snap contact
