always feels weird to us that yamaha makes both high-quality audio equipment (including a number of sound chips of historic importance like the OPN, OPL2, OPL3, etc) *and* for some reason makes motorcycles? i don't know if the motorcycles are high quality

also konami, mostly known for their video game division that they tried (and mostly succeeded) to kill off a few years ago, who also do real estate

@Felthry@awoo.space and even when they don't go into lots of categories (such as Nintendo which was far as I can tell if almost exclusively games and game related) they can be older than we expect. Consider the occasional comment that canon Sherlock Holmes could have owned and played a Nintendo game seeing as how they started as a card game company during his canon lifetime. All it would have taken is someone bringing one or more hanafuda decks to England and Holmes buying or being given one.
