pretty sure the majority of our friends and even remote acquaintances are some flavor of queer
this thought isn't going anywhere, i just thought it

@dodec I'd count it! the way we define queer is just anything that isn't the societal norm, and being aro/ace is not the societal norm

I always saw FF6's Terra as an ideal model for how to write an ace/aro character. She goes through all this anguish about how she doesn't seem to feel love the way other people do, and in the end discovers that she's just as capable of it - but it's not for anyone in particular, it's a love for other people in general and a drive to use her power to help them.

I'm never sure if being aro/ace counts, because if anything it feels like the opposite. Past straight and out the other side into "no".
