@scruss @marnanel@queer.party After that you start talking in ppm (parts per million) and ppb (parts per billion). And then you just start using scientific notation because talking about a dopant concentration of 1.5e-16 makes a lot more sense than talking about 150 parts per quintillion

@scruss @marnanel@queer.party That's one we've never heard before, and I think our boss would be annoyed if we didn't give at least one decimal point when doing efficiency calculations! There's a big difference between 99% and 99.4%.

@scruss I don't think you can say there's a specific amount for that--99% vs 99.4% efficiency is a big difference, that's significantly less wasted energy, but if it's 70% vs 70.4% that's not much of a difference.
