Breath of the Wild (master cycle)

I've been powering my horse-shaped motorcycle in Breath of the Wild with teeth, and I think you'll all have a giggle at the idea of a motorcycle shaped like a horse that runs on teeth.

re: Breath of the Wild (master cycle)

Every time I stop, I have plenty of teeth to refuel my motor-horse.

This thing's so much fun.

@LexYeen I love it a lot but I will never stop being furious that they don't let you use it in the desert

Whyyy

re: Breath of the Wild (master cycle)

@sharkNserg I watched a video of someone who modded that capability in on an emulator, and even just watching it destroys the ~vibe~ of the desert being huge and inhospitable.

@LexYeen @sharkNserg i am reminded of how in pokemon xd you had to get your motorcycle upgraded to a hovercycle before you could cross the desert parts of the map

@Felthry @sharkNserg My headcanon is, the Master Cycle isn't designed for a desert environment - there's so little of it in Hyrule that Vah Naboris was deemed all that was needed for desert fights.

re: Breath of the Wild (master cycle)

@LexYeen @sharkNserg Makes sense to me. We have no experience with motorcycles but I would think they would need to be designed differently to work well on loose sand compared to normal off-road stuff. Plus you might need extra filtering in the carburator or whatever magic carburator-analog the master cycle uses, to prevent it getting clogged up with sand and dust

re: Breath of the Wild (master cycle)

@Felthry @sharkNserg Yup, and desert sand is a completely different beast from ocean or river beach sand. It's a lot finer, closer to a powder, and because there's less moisture it's also more prone to getting blown around by the wind and sticking to static-charged surfaces.
