i very clearly need to reorientate myself more towards here given recent developments on the other place
(and i can only imagine more artists leaving from being further deboosted by not paying the subscription)
i'm still using Toot! on iOS, is there a different client i should check out
Thoughts towards getting me to be here more often:
Need to try out alternative apps to Toot!. Toot is fine for basic text and I like how it allows for a different theme for each account, but it has some quirks. It doesn’t support album view in the photo picker and dragging and dropping also doesn’t work - so to repost that #nullvember pic, I had to scroll through my entire camera roll to 2018. Additionally, we need some of the flexibility offered by birdsite’s app in terms of multiple accounts.
Specifically, if we see a cool post on one timeline, to be able to boost it if possible on another without going through the whole dance of copying the link, swapping completely to the other account, searching, and hoping it shows up.
We need to find a more actively maintained instance for [REDACTED] as well, since stability on their old one wasn’t the best (causing some of those issues with manual searching). There’s one on the shortlist, but I’d hear NSFW instance recommendations.
