job search (getting funny)
OK that's like *four* recruiters this week that are all trying to line me up for this same job. Which I'd be a tolerable fit for (I need to shore up my Python/ArcPy skills from 'none' to 'plausible') but, boy, I could certainly make a go of it.
Just if they could stop giving me so many phone calls where apparently they're holding the phone too far from their heads for me to hear them clearly. It's like they're trying to take selfies while talking.

@Austin_Dern python is pretty nice, but i say that when it's one of exactly four programming languages we have any significant knoweldge of (the others are octave/matlab, C, and "the bits that tend to be common across a lot of assembly architectures")

@Erin @Austin_Dern actually i guess you could say we're also well-versed in SPICE if that counts as a programming language. we certainly use it more than any of the others on the list

@Felthry I've done some toying with Python and I've liked its whole Matlab/Fortran vibe. I just don't have any projects I've ever brought to production to show, or any credentials.
