I did not know that ACE Team, developers of Xeno Clash and Xeno Clash 2, were making a new game in the Soulslike genre but with their distinctively weird style.

Apparently they are!

Also, apparently you have a little buddy who looks like one of the Soot Sprites from Ghibli films.

@Felthry The two Xenoclash games, I think they were made in the Source engine. They're really odd because they're first-person beat-em ups. Sorta like Double Dragon? There are weapons, but it's not a weapon fighting game.

Asthetically, it's sorta like Dark Crystal but more? Kinda seventies-eighties weird stuff. Mutants and monsters that are actually pretty nice. Most folks look like they were assembled by Jim Henson.

@relee What's the significance of them being made int he source engine?

@Felthry It's one of the first engines with a lot of physics. It was most famously used for Half Life 2 and Garry's Mod, but I suppose it's not really that significant.

Embarassingly, I mispelled the original games names.

Looks like there's a free demo for the first one, too

@relee it's also on a really good sale right now. Might try it out!

@Felthry Nice. ^.^

Yeah Steam is doing an American Thanksgiving Weekend sale.

@relee also, we can't find those games on steam, where are they? wanted to give it a look
