Elden Ring

I have been loving Elden Ring. I'm in a weird spot where I want to take my time and savor everything, but I also want to finish it so I can watch vids etc with spoilers, and also try different builds and fighting styles.

One Elden Ring meme I know about though is Margit. You could call them the first "Story" boss.

A lot of folks don't get past him, and give up. He's there as a skill and power check, before you get to more challenging stuff.

I beat him first try, didn't die.

re: Elden Ring

@relee it's actually possible to completely skip margit, i'm pretty sure

you can go surprisingly far into the game without beating a single boss, and we did

re: Elden Ring

@Felthry I've heard that, yeah. I did find a alternate route to Liurnia, around the side and back of the castle, while exploring.

That said, I don't know if you can get into the castle or not without going through Margit?

Can you fight and beat Godrick without fighting and beating Margit?

... Can you be not good enough to beat Margit and good enough to beat Godrick at the same time? I wonder.

You can also summon friends or randos for help with anything, I gather.

re: Elden Ring

@Felthry I thought so. Figured that back door would be locked.

re: Elden Ring

@relee you can get in the back door, but you can't get up to the boss arena
