It's upsetting me in a strange way that I've never been upset before.
There's spoilers for Demon's Souls in there, but I encourage you to watch it. More details in thread.
ratatoskr is a really big fan of From Software and the Souls games. Apparently another company, Bluepoint, did a remake of Demon's Souls. In this video, he explains in rather great detail how Bluepoint's remake is insulting to everything Demon's Souls was, and to the intentions of the developers and creators of the game. They changed a lot of things, that change the work dramatically.
I wasn't expecting the game to be 'wrong' in so many ways, that would cause so many feelings in me. I've never even played Demon's Souls, but this is the worst thing I've ever seen done by one artist to antoher artist's work. I dunno how to deal with it, but I guess I'll have to now.

@relee we don't want spoilers but i can understand how they feel, it's probably similar to how we feel about majora's mask 3d

The jist without spoilers is that they changed the art direction in a bad way, ruining the environmental storytelling. The lead even said they only tried to keep the gameplay and improve on everything else.
@relee majora's mask 3d made major changes to all the boss fights that made them less unique and interesting, on top of generally making everything in the game brighter, including where it was intentionally too dark to really see
oot 3d didn't touch the bosses, at least, but it also did the brightness thing
