furry treksona thoughts
You can be a furry in Star Trek if you want to be and there's nothing stopping you.
No, really. The best part about Star Trek is that the existence of alternate timelines and dimensions is canon, so your furry choices aren't at all limited, and? The abundance of Negative Space Wedgies is so high you practically have your *choice* of plot holes to fall out of if you want to interact with canon characters in canon settings.
Mine's an anthro utahraptor from a timeline where nanotech and cryogenics were both slightly more advanced than seen in canon and as a result he's effectively a technology-driven counterpart to the genetic augments in canon. He got cryo-frozen pre-warp, defrosted sometime during the equivalent to TNG, and made it out of Starfleet Academy sometime during that timeline's equivalent to DS9.
Remember: It's called a trash can, not a trash can't.

@Felthry They're so *useful* for stories, too - sure, they might be *physically* tough, but there's still ways to make them vulnerable and hurt them.

@Felthry Same here, y'all - I openly acknowledge he's a bit of a power fantasy.
