LB: Discord does have one archival tool, specifically the EU mandated GDPR "give me all my stuff" button

but i have no idea how much it gets and i guess if it's available in other jurisdictions

and of course, that's only your own stuff, my guess would be it captures no conversation context; and it also takes a while to process when you submit a download request

because yeah, the easiest solution I've found when someone has posted something i want to capture in my personal knowledge management app? (like a lot of stuff for the recent mucking around with unity)

screenshot it and copy the text from the screenshot, maybe save any pictures they've given separately

@Dex There are unofficial, technically-against-tos tools for archiving discord conversations with all the context you want. We've used one (Discord Chat Exporter), even, though never without explicit permission from all other participants in the conversation

I can't see what LB you're referring to, so maybe you know that already, but I figure it's good information anyway
