@DarkOverord Don't they have different movesets or stats too? Though I guess they could create some kinda exception for that, I think other pokemon with other formes have extra changes too...
@Aether Yeah both Meowstic (Gen 6) and Indeedee (Gen 8) are mons with gendered learnsets
Technically because they're two different forms but then, you'd do the same with Nidoran. The evolutions can remain as is.
Just Nidoran the base form I want resolving X3c
@DarkOverord Oh I get it, I agree. I was just pondering if there could *possibly* be other reasoning than Game Freak (or maybe it's Nintendo) being really stingy about certain backwards changes~.
... we got big changes with Physical/Special and Fairy, so... \ o -o/
@Aether I think before Let's GO Pikachu/Eevee and Sword/Shield it would be having *every* pokémon's ID (as they don't match dex number) in the game and maybe not wanting to change that
But since locking down the total mons in the games I don't see much a reason to keep it as is
Other than I guess precedent haha
@DarkOverord @Aether Index numbers have been the same as national pokedex numbers since gsc, it was only rby where they didn't match
-F
@DarkOverord @Aether i think it's more a thing of not wanting to change pokedex numbers than anything, since nidoran(m) and nidoran(f) have two different pokedex numbers

@Felthry @Aether I stand corrected then, I thought the form change pokémon always had unique IDs :V
