sigmar's garden really is the most mom game out of all the zachtronics solitaires

i kinda want to make a board irl, but i'm still not sure i understand the patterns/algorithms for initial placement

sigmar's garden, aimless/premature rambling

like, i know that the game takes pains to make sure that the puzzles are at least possible to solve, but how much of that is certainty/procedure and how much of that is tweaked probability? gold always seems to be at the center and lead is usually at the periphery, but sometimes the other metals can get variably buried among the rest of the pieces. the drawing method for populating the board follows a spiral pattern, but is that just eye candy, or somehow functional?

@patchwork gold is always at the center, which we've always assumed is just one of the rules of the game is gold goes in the middle
