Fixed the double click issue on my mx ergo mouse. This can be applied to most logitech mice with the same issue as they all appear to suffer from the same crappy switch that will break in a year.

Cost - 3 dollars plus shipping.

Device cost 70-100 new and this problem shows up within 6 months to a year depending on your usage.

@oceanotter Oh rad, I've got a logitech trackball that this'll almost certainly work on.

@Balina yeah it really wasn't too difficult I'd call it a really good introduction project.

@oceanotter My desoldering work still needs, uh, a hell of a lot of practice, but just finished slapping it back together and confirmed that I didn't break anything. Thanks for the tip!

@Balina you're welcome! Wow I didn't expect to actually contribute anything but this is incredible :3

Mine has worked flawlessly since.

When desoldering what tools are you using? Also your soldering job could use some work too. Your solder is too cold cause it should be looking shinier when done correctly. You want to ensure you're heating the surface you're soldering up before you tap the solder to it and the heat draws it into the gaps. Pull away the iron right as you do this.

@oceanotter @Balina Caveat about the soldering work: most lead-free solders will *not* look shiny, even when you have a good joint. Leaded solders, and a handful of uncommon lead-free alloys (like SN100C) will look shiny, but your typical SAC305 looks dull even with a good joint
