does anyone have any information on the risks of data recovery for SD cards and flash drives? what're their erasure best practices outside of physical destruction?
@xenon Doing a secure wipe with an appropriate tool that just erases every block is probably good enough unless your threat model is people with inordinate amounts of money and access to electron microscopes -F

@Felthry unfortunately SD cards don't really have an appropriate tool like SSDs do
i was hoping they worked different from them to make those unnecessary, but a standard overwrite won't work on every block
