One weird aspect of Cyberchase doing episodes about environmentalism is that it emphasizes avoiding travel-related pollution in a setting that prominently features portals.
Way back in 2005 there was an episode where Hacker learned how to make his own portals, and then proceeded to set up a network of portals to teleport freely from site to site, so they have a really good solution that was already proven to work. Though that's me thinking about the setting more seriously than I probably should be.
@NovaSquirrel wait, cyberchase is still running? or did it reboot?

@Felthry It's *still* running, and it's still the same continuity! And it's evidently still getting new episodes since there were new ones aired tonight.
From 2013 onward the show started focusing more on environmentalism and science than math, and PBS Kids seems to be putting an especially big emphasis on those newer episodes in the schedule, but they've been airing the older stuff a bunch too. Like not too long ago I saw the fifth episode on TV.
It's really funny seeing really dated pop culture references in the old episodes, and I guess the entire show itself is based on an older idea of what the Internet is like.
