So someone close to me got kicked out of the fediverse over a rumor, fueled by a grudge.
Nice to know that the Fediverse is full of cops. Fuck you Tenforward, go languish in your ivory tower.

In all honesty, accountability is dead here. It's too easy for abusive people to spread rumors about their marks, while ingratiating themselves to platform holders and silencing their victims that way.

If I didn't know any better, I would have said that gab had infiltrated our spaces by everything but name, and started adopting the aesthetics of leftism while getting away with shit like driving away autistic people while harboring known ableists who claim to be an ally, or...you know, driving PlayVicious members away with constant ambient anti-blackness.
Seriously, I will never get over this, PlayVicious folk were the best people I've had the pleasure of talking to, and y'all drove them away because you can't let go of your ego for one second to think about how your actions negatively affect POC in here.
It's so tiring, and honestly, I am considering implementing an aggressive anti-racist anti-whiteness and anti-coplike-behaviour only policy on who I interact with, allow and follow.

This just goes to show just how much moral narcissism breeds in the Fediverse and how it's really not that much different to Twitter. Where someone with a grudge and a golden tongue can completely take over and control the narrative.
What happened to snouts was just a symptom of a deeper problem of the Fediverse being dominated by whiteness.
