identity, fursona talk

i don't really want to be my fursona, somehow it'd feel like a pyrrhic victory..

what i want is to work on the things about myself and my body that don't really feel mine, and learn to love everything else about myself as it is

to close the gap between, until i feel just as wholeheartedly represented by my sona as i do by my own reflection in the mirror

identity, fursona talk

rena is only partially "idealized". she looks a bit smaller than i do, and a bit curvier, softer and smoother

but her small boobs, weird proportions and ever so slightly long neck, are just parts i want to learn to love about myself, not wish fulfillment

i want to discern which things feel truly foreign to who i am, and which things are genuine, important parts of myself that i was pressured to hate by unfair, arbitrary social standards

so that i can drop the things that aren't me, and learn to love the things that are, wholly and unabashedly

@bupy Learning to love you is one of the most important stages of personal growth. I wish you good luck, and if you ever need someone to vent to, i am here for you.
