I wonder if there’s systematic studies of how much child porn there is on the bitcoin blockchain
all I can find is articles like "yep! there's a bunch!" and then counter articles like "why this is actually fine and not a problem" and then that's it

Which implies that, tragically, the current rules prohibiting possession are actually incentivizing people to make more...
It does feel kind of weird that people can run a Bitcoin server despite it at this point necessarily having illegal data, yet nobody seems to care?

@FreyaManibrandr well, bitcoin is of course used to _pay_ for child porn (distributed by other means). but what I wonder is: You can store arbitrary data on the bitcoin blockchain, to some extend. How much of that arbitrary data, that needs to be available for bitcoin to work as intended, is actually that?
