people who picked "minimap rotates": Could you maybe explain? We've never understood why you would want it to rotate

It actually annoys me when car nav is fixed with North at the top because I'll occasionally have to pause and figure out what direction I am actually facing. Annoyingly the car I borrowed the other day for a work related trip would occasionally, but not always, put a little point at the marker that showed my current location that indicated which way the car was facing. Thankfully I was familiar with most of the route.
@FreyaManibrandr hmm, that's fair. we do use a "rotating minimap" in the form of our car's satnav system. is this in first- or third-person games that you're thinking of? or both?
