How does "Libertarian Socialism" differ from Anarcho-Communism?
@Fuego Aside from that, I prefer the label "socialist libertarian" to "anarcho-communist" mostly because to me "anarchy" still carries the faint smell of an eleven-year-old boy drinking as much chocolate milk and eating all the Oreos he likes because you can't tell him what to do, and "communism" still carries the whiff of Stalinism no matter how many times I put the hammer and sickle in the wash.
Mind you, "libertarian" smells pretty bad, too, but I grew up with that stink. Thanks, Perot.
@orrery well now you just made anarchy sound like something Chunk Tingle gets up to when son (name of jon) is out with his buds, and that has made it all the more alluring.
@Fuego I think whatever differences exist between them are in the small spaces between theory and execution where one says "government is necessary but it should be as small as possible" and one says "government is theoretically unnecessary but we don't live in theory." I think it's more in the direction people are inclined to jump when reality doesn't match expectations.
