The most amazing feature Slack came up with is Emoji Reactions.
It makes so much sense that I'm frustrated more platforms haven't started implementing it! The only other one I'm aware of is Discord.

Awoo.space is a Mastodon instance where members can rely on a team of moderators to help resolve conflict, and limits federation with other instances using a specific access list to minimize abuse.

@mawr Like, so much else about Slack can be terrible (logging, highlights, wildcards that message the entire server, no dark theme: ROAR), but emoji reactions are absolutely one of the things we use to great effect at $JOB.
