Yeah…. and what's worse, did you notice how all the plants have just… wilted? The lack of sunlight and probably the soot have instantly caused a bunch of our bushes and smaller trees to start dropping leaves like we were well into fall already. And they don't look like they usually do- they look kind of sickly. :blobsad:

@mawr @Kyresti Since I live by an honest-to-goodness forest: check their water level as the more likely culprit.

Checking on the trees here, there are no signs of them thinking the smoke is autumnal weather... yet. But the smaller ones are terribly thirsty, and in immediate view, only smaller vegetation is feeling that so far.

@mawr @Kyresti Also, happy to report that our local birds are doing okay and haven't changed patterns with the smoke as yet.

They don't seem pleased, but they're following regular feeding patterns even with the dismal haze and aren't immediately appearing sickly.
