Started reading Project Hail Mary. I ran across mention of it well before the whole film thing, and I imagined that similar to The Martian it'll ultimately end up extremely close to SOME of the book, but not all of it.
So far, really enjoying it!
Also in a fuck-you-Amazon, snagged via Kobo and then used DeACSM and DeDRM to first snag snag from the .acsm file downloaded from Kobo into the encrypted eBook, and then after adding the keys from DeACSM into DeDRM (this is pretty one-click if you follow guide) sent to my old Paperwhite!
@KayOhtie Yeah, I do this too now, except with Calibre as the destination instead of (presumably) an intermediary step of this. It's niiiiice.
The one Amazon feature that I wish had an analog is Whispernet. I know you can just use wifi, but being able to send books, magazines, and serialized RSS to myself over cellular was... very very handy.
@Goldkin DeACSM is the plugin that lets Calibre be the destination for the encrypted book ^^ I just transfer to my kindle over USB, if that's what you meant
