So YouTube's just okay with Facebook advertising one of their services that's a direct competitor to one of YouTube's services.

I'm used to motorsports advertising where you won't even see rival companies advertising on multiple cars in a team. If one of their rivals is already sponsoring a car on that team they just won't sponsor any of that team's cars, even if the rivals wouldn't be on the same car.

The concept of rival companies using each other for advertising is just so weird to me. It's like a Chevy Monte Carlo sponsored by a Ford dealership.
