It's amazing how job reqs want "rockstars" when rock star implies
* someone who's up there because they seriously love making music rather than they're there to make rent
* the audience seriously adores them, and they make a pretty okay amount of money
@Jacel I can imagine how aggravating it is for programmers. It's ludicrous when applied to administrative positions.
My impression of American capitalism is that a programmer gets treated like a professional bassist or drummer at best - the group's nothing without them, but at the end of the day it's still vocalists, lead guitar or sales people getting all the damn accolades. Saying an admin person is a rock star is like saying the security or beer vendors are the stars of the show.
