Food photo; "sabih." From Yotam Otolenghi's "Jerusalem" cookbook, this was, get this, supposed to be over pita *and* with mango pickle. Pita went off, and I didn't get any mango pickle - but frankly I feel like just the salad and hard boiled egg *or* eggplant with zhoug stands on its own and tahini really doesn't add much, and even more would just be overkill.

@Leucrotta I'd like to try defending pita, but, that does look quite complete as is, yes. Maybe a few croutons just for crunch (it's a leporine thing), but mango pickle seems rather overkill. (Probably still nice, though) And tahini just seems like "had some spare, so why not?" =:)

@porsupah I'm starting to feel like this cookbook has a thing about WAY more flavors than you really need to make something work. And that tahini winds up being definitely a something you add to, rather than enjoy much on its own.
