Trump is just a grifter who figured he'd hit on a particularly awesome hustle. Spout some right wing mumbo jumbo and maybe bomb someone to make the hoi polloi happy, stuff government full of cut-taxes-for-the-rich/fuck-the-poor/fuck-the-environment types, walk away with more money, speaking engagements, book deals and stuff.

He wasn't expecting he'd face actual CHALLENGES like a pandemic or public anger about systemic racism. Imho Biden's response suggests Hilary wouldn't have handled it especially better, but every Republican bought completely into a narcissist and abuser doing (surprise) DARVO.

Which is the thing about narcs, no matter whether you're on their side or not, you're a victim. You'll be untangling it for years if you get yourself out of the relationship/crap job/etc, but when the narcissist is POTUSA, there's no elsewhere. We're all now STUCK with all the cult stuff the Republican Party has and is because a cheapass abuser was editing reality to make himself awesome.
