@GraySpots Thanks and... well, especially if the theory was that I was always disposable. They did press my buttons as firing me - but I feel like either they were being hypercritical without much input, OR their stated reason that I made too many mistakes wasn't why they actually got rid of me.
@Leucrotta I've had to terminate employees before and it's always been after months (if not years) of coaching, formal performance improvement plans, etc.
Your ex-employer sounds like they forgot that employees are people and not generic "resources" (pretty common failing in business).
@GraySpots I feel like I was rushed into place, rushed into being handed more duties, and it doesn't surprise me that when they wanted they rushed me out.
