Cities spending huge amounts of money to paint over cool graffiti is kind of a showcase of the whole problem.
They pay for cops to abuse homeless instead of getting homeless houses.
We also pay for bombs and warfare systems when we could house and feed the population of the world for a fraction of the cost, removing most of the strife that causes crime and war.
We can't be the only ones that see that? Is it really that hard to understand?

@matoakit thing about capitalismand America is it’s not actually about profit and prosperity. Every cruel stupid thing we do costs more and generates less money than if we were compassionate. It’s not about the elites being comfy in an overall prosperous society, it’s making sure the elites get everything. And at some point the competition mindset where you gotta get yours or you face crippling poverty, becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
