I really wish it got made clear from the get-go that grade/high school anything isn't meant to be a complete guide to whatever; it's a shallow sampler, meant to give you a *basic* understanding, and if you want to get more into whatever there are other opportunities to do so. That's the best case scenario; anyone who's studied say, the Cold War or Reconstruction knows they've been actively lied to.
Why would what's at best a simplified version of gender, at worst pushed for someone else's convenience, be a definitive understanding of biology?
