I reread my copy of Dragon 66, which is actually the first issue I'd ever seen. There are all sorts of imaginative ads, stats for Elfquest characters (I wouldn't get to read that until much later), book reviews for stuff I still haven't read (and Mercanter's Luck, which I loved later), spells, *two* different articles with monsters, stuff about languages and D&D weapon restrictions, a humorous short story and this gorgeous Wormy comic at the very end...

it really is magic to me, still.

@Leucrotta Humble Bundle recently did a sale on almost all the ElfQuest stuff together. I spent two days doing pretty much nothing but reading that.
