Something I HATE about Pathfinder; there’s a Hell worshipping country, Cheliax, home to an evil knightly order, Hellknights. You can play one of these dudes and in one adventure path you save Cheliax from goody goodies. I don’t usually do “no evil PCs” and as alignment gets shelved this becomes academic, but Lawful Evil is imho the nastiest alignment, way worse than NE or CE, and if you want to play something like THAT I don’t want to play D&D/Pathfinder with you.
@blubfeesh Eh... it's more, the Abyss/Chaotic Evil etc are very self obsessed, "*my* might-makes-right" evil, and NE by comparison just comes across as entirely self serving, but Hell/Lawful Evil reads to me as a social thing about race supremacy, slavery, unflagging reverence for the military, inflexible religious ideology etc. If that makes any sense? It's like the flavor of evil I am not willing to touch.
@Leucrotta NGL I kinda' vibe with the aesthetics of "hell as protagonist" (partially since I'm so used to being told I'm going there for being gay lol... And because demons are kinda' hot. Mostly because demons are kinda' hot.) but yeah I don't vibe with like... Playing as the person who is opposing what are objectively the good guys
It reminds me of that one Star Wars game where you murder all of the original trilogy protagonists because... It's edgy I guess???
