Okay parents visited. One more stop and then back to my place to drink red wine and Coke, watch videos about hobbies I can’t afford, and be flat on my ass.

@topaz Not really! The worst parts of visits tend to be 1) having to completely shelve my personality for 2) 6-10 hours, because my parents rarely go for short visits especially 3) if I'm roped into dinner there because if there's any point my mother is going to be snappish and my dad's going to snap at my mom, it's while waiting for food prep when everyone's low on blood sugar.
Today was somehow a mere 6 hour deal with eating relatively early, so I got off real light this time.
@topaz The worst thing today was my Mom complaining about fireworks, and weighing in about how DARE people question that prisons don't have air conditioning when the people therein are obviously terrible. Loss of mobility and frequent pain doesn't make her any pleasanter, and I have a moderately hard time pushing down what I'd *like* to say at times like that.
