Dear furries and the furry-adjacent,
This is your periodic reminder that the artist Ken Sample - also known as Ken Cougr - is widely credited as having invented the very concept of a fursona, and that he is a Black man.
And courtesy of @bennie, in the replies to the vulpine.club edition of this post: "Reminder that Ken is around still and has a Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/KenCougr "

Dear furries and the furry-adjacent,
@Leucrotta @LexYeen Yup. He and several other furry artists illustrated for both Albedo (which is still in print and offered for sale) and Other Suns (which is not.)
Creators of those games are both furry and furry adjacent. And some have been GoH's at conventions back in the day.
Ken also founded and was first editor of Megamorphics. One of the longest running fan APAs and themed around macro furries.
