rant the second, USpol, egregious anti-Blackness

Okay, so the overflowing colostomy bag that's governor of Florida (and maybe I shouldn't use that as an insult, since colostomy bags actually help people) is on about slavery being good because it taught people skilled trades like say smithing.

Okay so 1) I've heard the theory that slaves were chosen from the Ivory Coast because their knowledge of farming in similar climate and soil made them skilled labor ALREADY and whether that's true or not

2) you're implying that uncoerced Black people, actually free to pursue professions, would NOT pick up stuff like smithing or carpentry in the 17-1800s, which is completely unrealistic as well as racist and

3) you've just stated "learning a skill" is a good thing, which is way different than "having your entire cultural heritage dismantled, your family shattered, and never getting any real share of the wealth you helped produce because you're considered expendable." But given the Republican stance on worker rights in general I guess no Republican understands the difference between wage labor and slavery anyway.

Jesus, how fucking straight up evil can you get?
