I'm thinking of moving to Seattle. Where could I possibly live near there, that's not insanely expensive?

@monstercollie @Chiaroscuro hello! Okay last time I looked most places quasi local (Shoreline, Lake City, Lynnwood) were similar to my place in Seattle. Everett might be cheaper; Kent/SeaTac/Des Moines/Federal Way is cheaper. West Seattle is cheaper but might not be worth it unless you were working in the south end.

@Leucrotta @Chiaroscuro notes saved for later, when I actually start looking for places. thanks!

@monstercollie @Chiaroscuro even with all that I hate about here, I’m still a bit in love with this place. Two more tips;
* Aurora (99) runs through town a little like El Camino in the Bay Area, and it’s a great alternative when I 5 is fucked up.

* the state parks have a yearly $30 “Discover Pass” which gets you potentially unlimited parking, day fees for a state park are $10 so it’s a huge bargain.
