Question time!
Other than the obvious choice of Bach's Cello Suite in G,
Are there any really good solo cello pieces I should know about?
I do not have a cello (way too expensive), but I do have a mandocello.

@Leucrotta Yeah, solo cello and solo viola pieces seem rather hard to find. Concerti are good too, of course, but I'm looking for something that doesn't need accompaniment. (I do like Dvorak, and I've not heard of Khachaturian, so I'll check out those concerti.)
I've had some rather difficult recommendations so far. Probably beyond my skill level. But I'll definitely give some of them a shot.
