*yaps at @Leucrotta and wags* =^.^=
@topaz *whuffs*
@Leucrotta *whuffs and licks your snoot!*
we went to the coffeeshop and applied for a few jobs today!
How're you?
@topaz I'm okay. This was NOT one of the worse visits with my parents, so I'm less caught up in how dealing with them feels terrible, and feel worse about how crummy things currently are for *them* right now. I'm definitely feeling like a shower in a bit, maybe having half an edible.
I'm looking forward to drawing and reading tomorrow tho. Maybe going to a fave Chinese place and getting congee with pork and century egg.
@Leucrotta Oh that's good! ![]()
Speaking of Chinese stuff, we gotta find a Chinese (or other Asian) grocery store for some fancy tea. :3
@topaz Koreana Plaza used to be my fave place to shop while I lived in Oakland/Alameda but I don't remember what their selection of tea was like. The Ranch 99 Market in Richmond is pretty good too AND they're in the same complex as has a Tea Ren, which I used to like for my favorite Ti Quan Yin
@Leucrotta Oooo thanks good to know!
We've never been all the way up to Richmond (and gotten off BART, anyway). Closest we ever got was the time we ran all the way up to... I think it was somewhat north of El Cerrito? to try to get a Craigslist free speakers, but someone else had gotten there first.
@topaz the bakery where I used to work really liked doing loose leaf tea in a *French press* would you believe it? And since tea leaves aren't as fine as coffee grounds it wasn't as much a pain in the ass to clean up afterwards. If you can find one, sometimes there are teakettles with this integral basket where you dump the water through and let it steep
@Leucrotta oh /nice/
we can get french presses basically anywhere!
